Scumzine was created after Sir Jorge of Culver got thrown out of many online and print rags about music.

I found that no matter what I said, if it wasn’t positive, I’d get canned or censored. Apparently you can’t say something bad about a band that is featured on the front page or on the cover. So instead of sitting around and sleeping, I talked to my friends over at Seshn, and they agreed that the world needed a zine that told the truth no matter who’s feelings got hurt.

So here it is, Scum Zine. Sure, it’s not that original, sure it’s not that professional, but hey…that’s how things are sometimes.

The main writer, news idiot, and chief is Sir Jorge.

Sir Jorge has been around the music world for a long time. From starting an ill fated record label at the tender age of 16, to traveling the nation in sweaty vans as an A&R rep for record labels that are now pushing up daisies, Sir Jorge has been through everything in the music world.

As a writer, He’s written blogs, and is not a professional.

However, music fans are not professionals, and shouldn’t be written to as such. Why use rhetoric or try to expand vocabulary about albums, bands, and news, when you can just write it straight up?
